So I am afraid of dogs, not all dogs, but majority. I’m now working at a place that has a few dogs that roam the area. There’s a Rottweiler and a lab. I’ve met the lab and I’m comfortable with her now, but the rotty I’ve not yet met and I’m petrified to walk the grounds. She’s meant to be lovely, but I’ve only seen her not actually had an interaction and the thought of it genuinely makes me not want to go to work. I’m just wondering what advice you guys have on.. how to make my first interaction positive, how to know when to back away if I need to and what to do in case it does go wrong. I’m sure nothing will happen but what I know and what I think are two very different things. And something I struggle to separate.
