We brought home our male toy poodle about a week ago. He is now 11.5 weeks old. The breeder was having him go on wood chips. I purchased the same kind and he showed zero interest and it’s crazy messy so I started with outside potty breaks. He woke up every few hours the first few nights but actually slept 10p-630a the last 2 nights. If he wakes I take him out. He immediately goes out to pee in the morning and usually poops. What gets me is that he will pee and then go again not 10 minutes later. I know his bladder has to be tiny but I know he can hold it because this weekend I took him a few places (never on the ground or around animals) and he holds it great when I’m holding him and went every 3 hours. Do I do water less often? Currently he drinks before work and then at noon and 3. The last couple of days he has been having so many accidents. It’s been 16 years since I had a pup, same breed, but I don’t remember this much urinating. Last night he went about 6 times in 30 minutes. He’s a smart pup and we love him but he’s definitely regressing and I want to make sure I do my part to help him.
