I’m so sad. We adopted the most sweet, gentle puppy almost a month ago (a week before adopting her, we had to put my soul cat to sleep from CHF). She was almost 8 months old when we adopted her. A Dalmatian/husky mix. She immediately bonded with me and I immediately loved her. She followed me around EVERYWHERE for 3 weeks. I spoiled her with love – my first dog (only had cats before). Well she wasn’t acting herself last Thursday so I got into vet Friday. Didn’t get many answers. Brought her back in Monday. They admitted her overnight for two nights (tonight is night two). vet called me tonight and said if there isn’t improvement in her bloodwork or if we don’t get answers from pathology on what her body is fighting, he recommends putting her to sleep. I’m devastated. Two pets sent to the rainbow bridge in less than a month. When we adopted this dog, I told her “please just give me 10 good years”. I jinxed that , didn’t I? My heart hurts so bad. I am so sad. I loved having her as my shadow. Life was so cruel to her. She lived six months in a pee soiled kennel with her siblings. One month stressed at a shelter and only one month of love from us. Not long enough.
