Hi all! picked up a little street puppy who was roaming around my neighbour’s lane in this winter cold. He drank a bit of milk 🍼, peed, had a dry bath, and is coming with us to the vet tomorrow 😀 he’s mostly just sleeping and stretching a lot (while petting), for a while he wakes up, jumps around, sniffs the house, and then crashes again. From what I’ve read, puppies can sleep 16–20 hours a day and may sleep even more when they’re recovering from the stress of being on the street and the cold weather. is this kind of long sleep normal for a rescued puppy, or is it something to worry about before the vet visit?
any advice or suggestions! thanks
