My puppy is 9 months old and every time he sees me relaxing (sitting on the couch or lying in bed) he starts barking and biting me. I’ve tried redirecting him to toys, ignoring him, saying “no,” and praising him whenever he settles down, but it keeps happening.
I really don’t think it’s lack of attention; he gets two 1- hr long walks a day, we play a ton while he’s awake, and he has plenty of toys and activities for independent play.
It feels like he does it just because he can’t stand seeing me relax, it is getting exhausting. Has anyone else dealt with this? What actually worked for you to stop the behavior?
