8 week old Aussie puppy overtired and overstimulated?

Hey guys, I recently adopted an 8 week old Aussie puppy. He’s been settling in really well and seems pretty comfortable already. We’ve had him for about 3 days now and I just want to make sure I’m not messing up his routine.

He does the usual puppy stuff like nipping and chewing on things (carpet, couch, etc.), and has his zoomies here and there, but I figured that was all pretty normal at this age.

We have 3 adults in the house so he’s pretty much always supervised and never really alone. He has free roam downstairs during the day, and at night we put him in a playpen where he settles fine and sleeps through.

His routine is basically: wakes up around 6am, goes on a pad, eats, then we do a mix of play and short training sessions. He’ll usually play for about 1–1.5 hours before napping, and we just repeat that cycle through the day until about 8pm when he winds down and goes to sleep in his pen.

I thought this was all pretty standard for an 8 week old puppy, but I’ve seen some stuff about puppies getting overtired or overstimulated. Just wondering if his schedule sounds okay or if I should be adjusting anything to help him settle better.

Thanks
