6 month Std Poodle pup – first heat

Hi All

We have a 6 month old Standard Poodle puppy, and this week she started in to her first heat. Some behavioural changes (much more bitey than normal) but I am concerned that her bowel movements have also been very loose this week. Is this usual?

I have had two previous dogs, but they were both rescued as adult dogs, so this is the first time I've raised a puppy since I've been an adult. I did "remember" all the inconvences of puppy raising from my childhood, though I had forgotten the sheer intensity of some of it.

We all love the pup to bits.
