5 months Old & Feels like She’s Plateauing

Hello! Popping on here for some advice because I feel like nothing is working. We have a 5 month old female golden retriever puppy that we have had since she was 8 weeks. It’s been tough to say the least, but it felt like we were progressing on training steadily up until this month. The main issue is definitely the potty training.

She definitely gives off regular signs when she has to go to the bathroom but when we take her outside she just won’t go poop and starts sniffing or just lays in the grass. We take her out on leash and stand in one general area and she still does this. Then almost like clockwork we will come back inside and she always goes to the exact same corner of our living room to poop. We do use a crate and it has helped for some schedule but this is mainly after work when we are home and she’s out for a longer period of time with us.

The other problem is ever since we got her she will eat her poop. It’s so gross and if we’re outside I can pull her away because of the leash. But this makes it almost impossible to know if she has an accident in the house unless i have eyes on her 24/7 because she immediately “cleans” it up by eating it. We thought she would grow out of it by now but it’s been months and she still tries to eat her poop almost every time. We have tried the no poop chews and it had no effect.

If anyone has any tips that have worked for them please share I’m all ears and will try anything.
