If myself or my wife attempt to take the dog on a solo walk from our house, she pretty much refuses to go any further than a few houses away. She just sits down or decided she wants to return home. However, if I take my 9 year old daughter on the walk with us, the dog will happily go anywhere. We also have a trainer helping us out, and yesterday the trainer and my wife went for a walk and they went all over the neighbourhood no problem.
But on the same day, my wife attempted to go on a walk in the exact same direction, and the dog refused.
The dog is a bit fearful of unknown sounds, so I suspect that's part of it. Maybe because it's quieter because it's just one adult and there's no talking?
Has anyone seen this type of behaviour before?
