I can’t take it anymore. I love him, he’s adorable, and sometimes he’s nice, but the majority of the time he’s impossible. We’ve had to block off multiple areas of the house because he thinks he’s allowed to go to the bathroom in the whenever he wants. However, he constantly tries to knock down our barricades and baby gates with brute force, and will stare at the blockades and scream and whine even when nobody is behind them.
His biting is getting worse and worse, no matter how much I redirect it. I will put all kinds of toys in his face after he bites me, but he’ll move his snout around the toys and bite me instead. His bites are getting harder and he’s even latching on, twisting his head and body all around, and growling.
Yelling at him doesn’t work. Walking away doesn’t work. Redirection doesn’t work. Time outs don’t work. Everything just leads to him whining or attacking us.
His new thing is going behind couches and chewing on wires. I’ve tried to cover all the wires in blankets to prevent it, but he still goes behind and tries to move the blanket and keeps chewing. When I try to get him to come out, he starts to growl and bark and lunge at me to bite. After a few times of chasing him around the room like this, I had enough and just grabbed him and put him in the kennel to go to bed (biting me the entire time I carried him).He’s been barking bloody murder nonstop since.
I’m losing my mind. I can’t get any sort of classwork or other responsibilities done because of him. He’ll be an angel all afternoon, but randomly a switch goes off and he’s like this. Sometimes for a few days at a time he behaves really well and is super friendly, but then has ruts like this for several days. We don’t even know what to do anymore. We’re hoping it’s because he’s a baby and he’ll keep growing up, but it just keeps getting worse and worse over time.
