People really weren’t joking when they say the teenage phase is worse than the puppy phase. When I saw everyone say their puppy started acting up at 6-9 months old, I thought we’d got lucky with our boy.. definitely not true
The last few weeks, around the time he turned 11 months old, he has become a complete menace. He will stare at you when you speak to him, and then just completely ignore everything you say anyway. He jumps up at us when he never has before, will pull at our clothes to get attention and just will. not. settle.
He goes on a walk everyday, spends quite a bit of time out in the garden during the day (we work from home) and we try so hard to give him extra enrichment. We used to freeze part of his breakfast to tire him out a bit before he went for a nap. We’ve had to stop doing it now because he just straight up refuses to put in any effort to eat it. He’ll usually try and eat absolutely anything but he’s become so lazy!
It’s crazy how stubborn he is. He even backchats us sometimes 😭 if we tell him off after he’s been misbehaving he’ll do a little bark back at us. He’s so incredibly frustrating. He’s also started randomly growling at things, even at people across the street out the window which he’s never done before
He’s just gone crazy digging up grass in our garden so I thought I’d come on here to vent about him. And to warn all the people that think they’ve got lucky (like I did) that your time is coming 😭 so prepare for the worst!
