1-yr old still poops in the house at night.
It has never taken me so long to uncrate a puppy! She’s 14 months old, never pees in the house, and never poops in the house during the day. The only exception to this rule is if we let her sleep outside her crate at night, she will poop once in the exact same spot every night. Never does so when she’s crated. All my other puppies were allowed to sleep outside their crates with no messes by 10 months. Why is she doing this? Any tips? I can’t really chastise her for the poop since I find it after I wake up, not when she’s in action. Not sure how to address this but don’t want her in the crate forever. She eats around 7pm and goes outside several times before bed. She is let out again at 6:15 every morning, the routine is pretty exact. Never has been free fed (she eats twice a day quickly and happily) and usually water is up by 9pm (again, peeing is not the problem). We have an older dog in the house too who never has any accidents. Help!

Rescue puppy has grudge against the sky blender
Hello! Our dog has been with us for almost 3 months and she is 10 months old.
She absolutely despises our ceiling fan even when it is switched off. It is in our living area.
We live in a small cottage and cordoning off the area is not possible as the layout would mean she can’t be in the home.
We have tried positive reinforcement – treating her when she looks at it and doesn’t react etc. We also feed her in the living room under the fan.
However she will still sporadically remember it exists and go ape.
What other methods do you suggest?
*We can’t remove the fixture.
*Best case scenario would be getting her comfortable with it as summer is approaching and we would love to actually use it.

Poop and losing teeth
My puppy is 4 months old and recently started losing his upper front teeths. Yesterday during tug of war, one of his teeth came out ( I dint see the teeth but his whole demeanor changed). He was panting the rest of the night and also tried to eat his poop. Today morning, he seems alright, no panting or eating poop. Should I be concerned or chalk up the poop eating to stress or pain from losing his teeth?

Did the clock change affect your puppy’s routine?
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a bit of advice about the clocks going back and whether it’s affected anyone else’s puppy.
I have a 13-week-old pup who was doing really well with his routine, but today he’s been a bit off, more biting and growling, and refusing to settle in his crate for naps. I’m wondering if the time change could be throwing him off, maybe because he’s not getting fed or put down for naps at the time he’s expecting.
Has anyone else noticed a change in their puppy’s behaviour since the clocks went back?
(I’m based in the UK.)
Thank you

Mini dachshund loves crate for bed time but is on and off during the day for her naps and being alone.
My 7 month old, miniature Dachshund is great at taking herself to bed on her own terms. If she's tired she'll head off to her crate and sleep away. I can then shut the door and leave the room and she'll nap for about an hour. At night she sleeps from 11pm – 9am in her crate and has done since 8 weeks old. She sees the crate as her bed.
However, during the day she's vehemently against being put in her crate for an enforced nap. It's 50/50 on when she starts an enforced nap if she'll protest against me leaving the room or not. We have her on a routine of naps that she seems to follow only if she takes herself to her crate though. Any advice for my partly but not really crate trained dachshund?
