So, I adopted this adorable Corgi mix a few weeks ago, and let me tell you, the naptime situation is wild. 🤪 I thought I’d just let him nap in his crate while I worked from home, but he has other plans! Every time I try to sneak away, he wakes up and gives me those big puppy eyes. 🥺 I’ve tried to create a cozy little spot with blankets and toys, but he insists on sleeping on my feet instead. Anyone else dealing with this? How do I get him to chill out in his crate for a bit? Any tips on making naptime easier would be super helpful! Thanks, community!

A few days after my puppy gets his next round of shots, I am taking him to visit my parents for 10 days. They have 2 littermates that probably have littermate syndrome. One barks with other dogs out of fear and apparently they aren’t the best with puppies (no biting or anything just loud).

We’ll introduce separately outside of course, with the friendlier one starting first. They are similar sizes, and my dog will have a pen and crate so they won’t be able to get in their space.

I’m worried that this will forever taint his interactions with other dogs and confidence, and he will come back a different dog. He is so sweet and such a good boy I don’t want this to ruin him in any way. If anyone has advice, I would love to hear.

I have a 14 week old Cavapoo who we got when she was 12 weeks. We are two weeks in.

We live in a city apartment with a backyard. At night, she sleeps overnight 10:30-6:30 am in her crate, one of those plastic travel crates. During the daytime, I can get her to nap in that same crate. We keep it in the back of the apartment in our bedroom.

We also have one of those larger 24×36 wire crates set up in our living room/kitchen area. I am wondering how we can get her to be comfortable in that larger crate. I’ll put her in for short periods of time but I don’t see her napping there, especially if it’s a noisy time with kids running around.

We want to train our dog to be able to be alone for periods of time and I just don’t know if we should just keep using the smaller crate until she’s older, or keep working in her getting comfortable in the bigger crate. I guess I imagine she’d nap in the bigger crate when we go out if we leave her alone but we are not there yet.

Any advice?

My puppy has an obsession with feet. She is constantly biting my toes and when I curl my feet up she starts on my slippers. I’ve started letting her bite my slippers just because it’s not my toes or the carpet which she also pulls up. I know she’s just a baby so I’m trying to be patient but I am at my wits end.

My dog is in an “up to 10lb crate” and weighs under 10lbs; however, I feel like my dog can barely stand inside of it and can’t really turn and get comfortable. I don’t want the crate to be too big to where he doesn’t feel safe inside it or starts peeing in it.

He loves to burrow so I know he likes small confined spaces but I don’t want his crate to be too small either. Google isn’t helpful

Hi guys! I recently just moved into an apartment with my 5 yr old Chow Chow. She went from living in a home with multiple people and other dogs to a quiet apartment, so It’s been a bit of a challenge adjusting.

The biggest problem I am having is trying to leave her at the apartment while I leave. She is crate trained & likes being in the cage but if I put her in there to leave she cries. I’ve also tried leaving her out to roam around but she starts scratching at the door and barking. I’ve given her toys, bones, & treats so I’m not sure what else to do.

This is quite an adjustment for her and I’m trying to help her be comfortable and get used to it. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
