Can anyone provide some guidance? 7+ month lab used to sleep pretty well through the night until about 5/6am.

The past week or two they’ve been waking at about 12, 3am and then 5:30 and it’s slowly killing us.

We’ve tried tiring him out more, background calming music, sleeping in our room (he won’t settle) and we’re at a bit of a loss with it

Is this normal? Will it recover?

Wondering if anyone has any advice.

My 14 month old bidder collie has been crate trained for months and she loves her crates. You can see in my post history it took until she was almost 11 months before she could nap at all out of her crate (she now mostly naps out of her crate!!).

Three days ago she broke her dew claw and went to the vet. Later that night she must have had a tiny poo accident in her bedroom crate (maybe from the meds?) she had literally never done this so I thought it was a one off due to the meds. I cleaned the crate and moved on. The next night was was kind of weird going to bed but then woke up in the middle of the night standing and stress panting. I ended up taking her outside and tried to go back to sleep but she wouldn’t even lay down and was panting so hard. I ended you putting her in the crate in the living room and she laid down and went right to sleep.

So this morning I took the crate fully apart and deep cleaned it with an enzyme cleaner thinking maybe she could smell her accident and it was making her anxious? But again tonight going to bed she wouldn’t lay down and was stress panting. I just moved her down to the living room crate and she laid down right away.

Do people think this is because of the accident? Or is she just a sassy teen who wants her own room? I would much prefer her be in my bedroom so she can wake me up if anything is wrong (not that that happens often maybe three times in the last 8ish months). Is it ok if she sleeps in her crate in the living room overnight?

My male golden retriever pup needs to be rehomed, what do I set the rehoming fee for? He’s 6 months, up to date with vaccines, still intact, potty trained crate trained. I cannot keep the pup and feel terrible about it so if you are going to be mean save it. I will be strict about who gets him. i originally got him for close to $1k and im not looking to make that money back but just a reasonable price that someone would be serious about.

My dog shakes itself off as if he were wet constantly, after eating or drinking, playing etc etc. He’ll even wake up from a nap and shake himself off and then immediately go back to sleep

Vet gave him the clear and suggested it was stress related but I haven’t been able to pinpoint any triggers, I thought maybe I was the trigger but he still does it when I’m away or he’s with his sitter

How should I interpret this behavior, am I doing something wrong?

Hello! My family splits our time between Alaska and Arizona. We both work from home, have acreage in both places & are perfectly set up to care for a dog. We spend approximately May-September in Alaska & then fly back to Arizona (Phoenix Sky harbor airport). We are fairly far into the process of purchasing a standard poodle puppy. Unfortunately the only thing preventing us from moving forward is the issue with travel. There are restrictions for both Phoenix and the Anchorage airports around temperature (below 45 and above 85) . I have been on the phone with Alaska airlines several times & can find no work around to getting the dog back and forth due to the temp embargo’s. Driving is not a consistent option (it takes about a week each way) & I can’t find transportation services that would go through Canada with the dog. I am desperately seeking advice from anyone with more knowledge or creative solutions on how to make getting a dog a reality for our family. We have so much to offer it in both places & so much love to give!
