This painting was done by the wildly talented u/SkrinT4 memorializing my beloved golden Trigger. This picture has always captured his personality in a snapshot so to have it in an original painting is truly a gift. THANK YOU!!! submitted by /u/AuroraBear84 |

Housebreaking help—are accidents normal at this point?
Hi! Our puppy is now 8 months, and we got him two months ago. We are diligent about taking him out at least every three hours. He is crate trained as well. However, he still has pee accidents about once per week. Is that normal, or are we doing something wrong? Any tips appreciated!

Can a puppy lick a toppl too long?
Toppl users – how long do you let your puppy work at one?
I recently got my four month old mix a toppl. Is there a time limit for these things? Like is it ok for her to sit there and lick at this for an hour or more? I see some people say they feed their animals their dinner in them and I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t harmful to give her one that could take her a while to finish. We were going to feed her frozen dinner in one tomorrow for the first time.
Any time I’ve tried to google I haven’t really found an answer.

Quality of life for a blind & deaf dog
I need advice. I’ve had a senior foster dog for a few days. She was found on the streets of Philadelphia and was taken to a very overcrowded shelter. Eventually she ended up with me on a two-week trial basis. She is sweet and lovable. She is tiny (less than 10 lbs). She eats like there is no tomorrow and loves chewing on safe non-rawhide bones. Beyond that, I can’t figure out whether it’s kind or cruel to keep her alive. She does seem to enjoy being petted and probably would be great with someone who likes to sit for hours with a small creature in their lap, petting her for hours. That’s not me. She sleeps A LOT, which is kind of a relief for me, because she’s truly helpless. She doesn’t know what to do in my fenced in backyard, even when I stand there and it’s beautiful and sunny. She can’t hear me if I say anything so she startles every time I pick her up. I did take her out in a dog stroller while I walked my other dog on a sunny day, and she seemed to enjoy it (I think). If I put her down somewhere that my other dog has shown great interest in sniffing, she does also. She’s estimated to be ten years old. She has beautiful soft fur. So basically, her existence is: sleep, eat, sniff, pee, and poop. Can’t play and shows no interest in toys. Can’t run for sure. I’m inclined to keep fostering her but to ask the shelter to post her for adoption with someone who is sedentary. But I keep asking myself the existential question of whether there is a point to this. Please don’t be unkind in responding. I am a huge dog lover and want only the best for her.
