Help me choose between 2 names
I’m getting my second golden retriever in a couple weeks. I’ve met her and she was really sweet and gentle, and the original name I wanted to have was Helly (shoutout severance) but I’m not sure if it fits.
My second choice was Ruby but it seems too common! Help me pick 🙂

Any recommendations for movies/shows to watch with my dog?
My 1 year old heeler mix loves watching certain things with me. So far we’ve watched a bunch of different animal documentaries (his favorite was island of the sea wolves) and Flow. Do you all have any recommendations for shows or movies he might like?

How to get our dog to let me walk him?
We rescued a dog a year ago. he's very sweet and sharp as a tack. but he has also decided my wife is his primary and resource guards against me. I have tried getting him to accept treats from me but still bolts from the room when it seems I am addressing or even noticing him. also if I make any gesture toward walking him, he panic-pees everywhere. I have always been gentle, offered treats, don't get all in his space, etc. But we can't make progress if we can't even be in the same room.
So for a couple of weeks coming up, I will be the only person around who can walk him. I need to come to some kind of understanding with him or I'll be cleaning up his pee the whole time and there are of course furnishings and possessions that would quickly be ruined if subject to a multiple peeings. My wife will be in town for another week and then on a business trip. is there any way to get him to just accept a walk from me, even if it isn't exactly what he wants, in the next week?

What can i use to keep a dog from peeing somewhere. (not my dog)
My grandma is coming to visit me and she absolutely will not come if her dog can't come with her. Her dog pees everywhere and has ruined all the carpets in her house. She's in denial that her dog pees so I can't just tell her not to bring him because he pees.
Is there anything I can spray or use on my carpets and around furniture to deter her dog? He also has massive separation anxiety and was previously abused before she got him so kenneling him or trying to re-train him isn't an option. He is so old and also doesn't understand the concept of a doggy door (which we have for our dogs). So please don't offer any suggestions like potty train him or lock him up in one spot because that just isn't going to work.
I just desperately need a quick fix to use for a couple of days so her dog doesn't destroy my house.

Anyone enjoying adolescence?
Has anyone else enjoyed when their dog was an adolescent? My puppy is nearing a year old, so maybe I'm speaking too soon because she has a long way to go before she fully matures, but her adolescent stage is way more enjoyable than when she was a young puppy. She frustrates me a lot sometimes, but I love watching her figure things out and use her little brain. She has definitely taught me a lot about patience and how I need to adjust my expectations for her. She is my first puppy, so I'm sure I won't feel this way about every other puppy I may own in my life.

How long is too long to still be potty training?
I got my lab pup two months ago. He’s about five months now and wears male diapers when he’s out of the crate but doesn’t pee in them. If I don’t put it on, he tends to pee on my floor. What gives? I tried the bell but he only rings it when im getting my shoes on or when I tell him to ring his bell. He won’t ring it if he needs to go potty.
