Why is my puppy still peeing on the floor after months of potty training
I have been potty training my puppy for months. I’ve had her since she was 6 weeks old and now she is 5 months. I take her out once every hour and praise her for it when she goes. She has the be in a cage during the day when my wife and I are at work but she gets let out around noon. She holds it everytime she’s in her cage but during the day when we’re home she will randomly pee in the house. And it’s not like she has a specific spot. I was just walking in the hallway and she stopped and peed right in front of me. How do I fix this?

Regular enforced naps success!
As a first time puppy mom of just a few weeks, I want to thank everyone who has posted about enforcing regular naps. I am only on my second day of putting my 14 week old puppy down for naps and the transformation of her behavior was immediate.
It never occurred to me that, just like human babies, puppies need to nap frequently. Of course, right?!!! I decided to adopt the one hour up (to potty, play and eat) then two hours to nap. It’s not an exact schedule so far but we’re still working out the kinks.
For instance sometimes she’s up a little over an hour but as soon as I notice that she’s getting overstimulated and biting me while playing, she’s off for a nap. She seems happier too. She really feels better after having her naps. Sometimes she rebels a little but it doesn’t take very long until she settles down and sleeps, making me realize how much she really needed to sleep.
As a tip I want to share that we have a small write-on wipe-off board in the kitchen that we have been using to keep track of when we take her outside and was she accomplished each time (number one and/or number two) so we know when she needs to be taken out again. It’s been helpful with house training her to get her outside regularly. So I am using the board to track her naps too.
I finally feel some relief having periods of time when she’s asleep and I am not having to monitor her every second to make sure she isn’t getting into something or having an accident on the carpet. I was losing my mind. I’m so grateful for reading the posts on naps and how important they are. I am thrilled to have found this sub and look forward to learning more about puppy parenting from you all! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Puppy crying & whining & barking
My puppy is 4 months old and she will randomly just cry and whine & bark throughout the day. Shes been fed, played with, she has plenty of toys, napped, has been taken out to potty and yet she will still just randomly cry. It’s quite unsettling to be around when I don’t know what is going on. Is it just her being over tired or is this something anyone else has experienced with a puppy?
Thanks in advance!

Training Pomsky pup (11wk male) not to bite Aussiedor (4yr male)
We have a Pomsky pup (11 weeks old male) and an Aussiedor (Australian Shepherd + English Labrador, 4 year old male). The Aussiedor is doing really well with the pup. He'll whine and sometimes give the pup a gentle correction, but he's almost too lenient when he's letting the pup jump on and bite him.
We have a lot of family with a lot of dogs, mostly medium- and large-sized. I'm concerned the Pomsky is not getting enough feedback from the Aussiedor to learn that he shouldn't jump on and bite (with his little puppy needle teeth) other dogs, especially larger ones that might not respond well to the annoyance.
I'm also worried about the stress put on the Aussiedor. He's been jumping up on the couch more to get away from the pup (which just makes the pup want to jump up and bite his tail/paws that hang over the edge).
Sometimes, I make a loud noise to surprise the pup out of the biting, which works. But it's a fear tactic I want to avoid. I've also tried redirecting with squeaky toys and treats when he responds to "leave it", but I have to be there with him 100% of the time to correct/reward his behavior.
When I am not there, I have to put him away in his pen, but then he's causing some other chaos like chewing on his donut bed (which is not durable and if he rips it, he'd pull all the fluff out) or the wood that holds his food/water bowls. He chooses these instead of the yak chews or other toys I put in there (which he does chew/play with, but he ignores them when he gets in destructo-mode).
Is this something where he just needs more exercise, time, and hands-on training? Or is there anything else I can do?

Car kennel size for 65lb golden
Hi! Looking to get a Ruffland or similar car kennel for transporting my Golden puppy, who will be about 65lb when she’s grown. Would a dog this size do ok in the intermediate Ruffland crate? This is only for car rides, so we do want a tighter fit. Thanks!

My 5 month old can not hold his bladder for more than an 30 minutes outside the crate however he can sleep for 10 hours overnight in his crate and have no accidents. is it normal for his bladder to be so weak during the day?
Pleaase advise I am a first time puppy owner to a cavapoo.
I have taken him to the vets he does not have a UTI they even tested his clutires twice.
He is bell trained and tells me when he needs to go toilet but he literally is going wee every 30 minutes outside the crate and everywhere I read it says he should be able to hold his bladder for 2-3 hours. Has any one else experienced this?
I guess I am just checking if anyone has ever been in this boat because it's exhausting, constantly going to the garden. I feel like I get nothing done with my day, I antipatpated that at almost 6 months it would have eased a bit.
I have tried timing the Intervals and slowly extending but he just can't seem to hold it. Any advice, suggestion or tips are welcome.
Thanks in advance
