  • Potty training helpp

Hi everyone, we’re having a problem with our 4-month-old puppy. He’s gotten used to using pee pads, and we can’t manage to get him to go potty outside. Most of the time we take him out for about 20 minutes, come back home, and he pees as soon as we walk in. He also pees immediately after eating, but taking him out right after meals doesn’t always work either. The only times he might pee outside are right after he wakes up and hasn’t gone during the night, but even then the chances are very low. What can we do? These are his first real outings, so he spends the whole time sniffing the ground, eating leaves and random stuff, and going crazy whenever he sees someone. Helpp pls

  • It did not get better help!

we have a 14 month partially deaf old show cocker spaniel and she is the most ADHD doggy I’ve ever met she won’t sit down she barks at everything and everyone and the worst part in the morning once she is up be it at 4am or 5:30am she will bark no matter what.

Does anyone have experience with deaf dogs and knows how to train them not to bark when they wake up.

for context she stays in the kitchen gated off with the hallway light on and does not stay in her crate as she would never settle e.g shit and piss herself and whine and bark all night long.

please help I am at my wits end.

  • Dogs not getting along and refusing to do normal things?

Recently my two dogs a Caucasian shepherd (3 yr) and Bullmastiff mix (5 yr) have been fighting a lot over bones. My bullmastiff seemingly loves to bully or be an asshole to the shepherd. She will come over and take her bone away, or block her path sometimes so she can’t go around when I let her inside. The bone situation sometimes leads to a fight.

I am not sure what is with the attitude of the bullmastiff considering the shepherd is fine and they are both usually sweeties just aggressive sometimes towards each other. I take them to the park often and walks, in which they are always good. Though now the bullmastiff does not want to go outside as often when I let them both out (only shepherd goes), and for the first time today the bullmastiff refused to go on our daily walk together. That was after the fact I caught her trying to steal the shepherds bone again lol.

How can I address this/make things better between them?

  • Clinginess out of control

I have a three year old toy poodle who has been around other dogs her whole life. Last week my roommate had an unexpected emergency and had to move out taking his dogs with him. Ever since my dog has become glued to me and when I leave for work my other roommate reports that she is an anxious mess and does nothing but cry and shake. Only other times she’s had this issue was when she would be the only dog in the house. Getting another dog isn’t an option because of the cost associated with it and we’re in student housing so she’s my “therapy” animal and I don’t have the means to have her around other dogs until I move out in May. Any tips on how to regulate her anxiety? I do my best to make coming/going lowkey and walk her twice a day. She’s got toys and chews galore and plenty of space to roam. The only time she isn’t anxious since the other dog leaving is when I am home with her. I don’t want to have to put her on an anxiety medication unless I’ve exercised every other option.

  • Family dog getting aggressive

The family dog (5years old) has been getting increasingly more aggressive. He really likes sitting up against someone while sitting on the sofa, but will randomly turn around, growl, and bite (never hard, hasn’t broken skin) if you move a slightest bit. For example, he was sitting in the recliner part of the sofa against my leg. I shifted my leg the tiniest bit and he started growling and sort of tried to bite my hand. The thing is he won’t actually get up and leave on his own if something was bothering him, and even after biting he’ll sit down against me or whoever else it was. He’s not aggressive about something being “his spot” or anything like that and if you tell him to move he will. It’s just getting more frequent and unpredictable. Sometimes I won’t even move and he’ll just start staring at me and growling while sitting or laying against me.

We’ve taken him to the vet a few months ago and besides some lifelong digestive issues, nothings wrong. He’s active, doesn’t seem to be in any pain, not agressive about something being “his” or anything like that.

  • Chew toy for leashes?

My baby likes to grab the leash while we’re walking, sometimes to lead, sometimes for tug-of-war. I’m wondering if anyone has seen any chompy add-ons for leashes that might alleviate this behavior? I’m not even sure what to search, if such a thing exists.

  • Kibble storage – ikea options

How do you store your kibble? Should you or should you not buy the big like 18kg bags or is it better to do the smaller ones.

Would any of these from Ikea suffice as a good kibble storage: KNODD or DAMMÄNG? I’ll try and add pictures in the comments.
