Any tips for getting a very “submissive” puppy leash trained?
Hello! I usually have had no issues getting all my pups leash trained but recently I’ve taken in and rescued a miniature poodle and she is FULL of energy so I would like her take her out on walks/runs to improve her quality of life. Well she’s very submissive, when you greet her she creeps really low to the ground and pees all over the floor (we are working on this one), or when you touch her she completely rolls over and lets you handle her however. She just turned 1 year last week! But when I put a well fitted harness on her she just freezes like a deer and headlights. I’ve tried putting her harness on and letting her roam around without a leash and she’s been taking that well. But when I put the leash on its wraps and she’s not moving. I’ve even been told to try to let her roam the yard with the leash to get used to the feeling and it works in the moment but when I grab the leash she freezes all over again and looks so lost. I’ve tried leading her with treats but she’s not very food motivated. I know she has potential to go on amazing walks, whenever she’s running around the back yard she’s so fast; one blink and she’s gone, but it’s just been a struggle trying to get her leash trained. I’m in a spot to care for her but not in a spot to get professional trainers involved at the moment over the matter. Any suggestions for anyone who maybe has been through a similar experience or maybe anyone who just might have more insight?

How to make puppy pee outside??
My puppy is 5 months and he still insists on peeing inside. I take him out every 1 to 2 hours and he rarely pees outside. I take him out maybe 7 or 8 times a day and out of all of those times, he will pee twice. Three times if im lucky. I’d be even luckier if he pooped at any time other than his first morning walk. There would be times where we take extra long walks, about 30 minutes to an hour and he didn’t even bother using the bathroom and let it all out when we got home.
I make sure to praise him and give him treats when he does it. And it’s frustrating to constantly clean up after him. Im worried my mom will get frustrated enough and demand him to be rehomed because of it. I can already tell she’s getting fed up with his accidents.

FOURTH round of Giardia treatment and losing my mind
This post is more of a rant than anything, so I apologise if it’s kind of all over the place.
My puppy (6 m/o Cocker Spaniel) has been undergoing treatment for Giardia for the last couple of months with no success. We’ve done a full round of febendazole, followed by three rounds of metronidazole, to no avail. He’ll stabilise throughout the course of his medication, but once he’s off it, he’ll slowly revert back to having bouts of diarrhoea and will continue to test positive. The last round was so bad (vomiting and completely liquid stool) that I was genuinely scared for him.
Right now, he’s on a 10-day course of metronidazole, along with esomeprazole and a slew of probiotics and B12 (plus a short course of Protexin). I’m not confident he’ll test negative this time either, and I’m at a loss.
I don’t understand what I’ve been doing wrong. I’ve been disinfecting everything, cleaning all his bedding and toys, poop scooping religiously, and wiping him after every trip outside. I’m low-key hoping for a miracle cure, but I know that’s not possible, lol. Has anyone been through something similar? What did you try that did (or didn’t) work?
