Been seeing a lot of adds for that bowl – ball thing that is suppose to be a good way to keep dogs occupied on my Instagram. If you’ve see one of the ads you know when I’m talking about lol.

My question: has anyone actually boughten one? How did it go? Did it lose its novelty quickly? Make a mess? Break?

The units I saw posted on Amazon all had poor reviews but low sample sizes But I love the idea of the product and wondering if anyone else has boughten it?

Got a gsd puppy today. I need tips to take care of him. Tips about his diet, excercise, and training. I had a working lab previously. People say to feed milk but the entire internet says not to. I've got royal canin puppy food and I'm giving it with clean curd. Fresh water is available all the time.

Is wypaw a legitimate business? I have job offers from them but can not find any relevant information. Has anyone had any encounters with them? This is not a survey just asking for help.

Today we rescued a pup. Cane corso X (unsure what she’s mixed with). The ex-owner has a history of getting dogs and then getting rid of them after a year. It’s how we ended up with my current dog 6 years ago.

Anyway, we were told she had no issues apart from a couple of scabs in her ears. We’ve got her and she’s riddled in fleas and is limping. I noticed when we first saw her however, she was limping slightly but it stopped straight after. Since we’ve got home, it’s non stop. She’s yelping when laying down and standing up. She’s a large dog so of course it’s hurting her.

It’s currently 11:40pm on a Sunday night, with nowhere close by open until the morning. Is there anything I can do to make her more comfortable until we can get there?? I feel so bad for her 🥺 I can’t get her to stay laid down because she follows me no matter what.

She has a history of separation anxiety and has been left outside alone for days on end. Along with being beaten and now terrified of men. She was so ridiculously scared when we first saw her, it was heart breaking. As soon as we got her home she became so trusting straight away, you can tell she’s got a lot to give🫶🏼

It occurred to me that some folx had asked for an update on my previous post, so here it is. My daily visits helped get our dog moved up on the surgery list and he came home right after surgery on February 6th!

We're calling him Caspian, and it's hard to believe he's only been here two weeks. After seeing our vet we've learned there are some fairly serious underlying issues leftover from wherever he came from that weren't being handled. So, all in all, I'm really happy we were able to get him out of the shelter environment and home with us where he could start healing.

He is the sweetest, gentlest boy. He is in love with my daughter and gets along wonderfully with the other animals on our small homestead. Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to go see him and gently push to get him home.

I can’t post a photo but there used to be a small chewbrush (there’s a big one still) called Chewbrush for small to medium sized dogs. It’s the ONLY toy my dog likes to play with but it’s no longer being made.

It was dark blue with a neon green inner brush.

Have any of you seen a similar sized chew brush toy? The large one is too long for him to hold comfortably between his paws to chew it. And this one is missing rubber parts so I need to toss it. My other option is to get the large and try to saw through it with scissors to cut the length down.

We just adopted a 1yo German Shepherd boy, would love to get a harness that doubles for the car and for walks, but hoping for a harness the seatbelt feeds through and has high safety ratings. Does this exist or do we needs two separate harnesses?

Feeling very overwhelmed by the decisions out there. Looking for a crash tested harness for my 22 1/2 lb, 10 month old Miniature American Shepherd. I'd say she's mostly fully grown, maybe a few lbs to go. Don't specifically need a harness that will be worn outside of car time, it can be car exclusive, but I'm open to whatever. I know most harnesses are suggested to be used in the backseat, but that isn't an option for me, so a harness that allows for little movement/slack would be preferable.

I can't seem to get much information on reviews for any of these, they all seem mixed.

So I was bringing out this toy for my cat to play with: https://www.amazon.com/Potaroma-Chargeable-Automatic-Interactive-Fluttering/dp/B0BX9KXKPH (providing the link just for visualization purposes because I don't think I can add a photo) and our new-ish(he's been around for about 5 months) dog thought it was the absolute best thing in the world.

Now the good thing is that he was pretty gentle about playing with it when he was given a turn with it, but did want to bite down on the feathery part at times which is why we had to take it away before he destroyed it with a wrong chew or slobber. He will destroy a toy via chewing but does have a distinction in his little mind between "toy to chew to shreds" and "toy to play with and bite down on occasionally and carefully" so he would do alright with monitored play with a dog equivalent of that.

Ideally, I'd like the toy to be bigger and I'd also like the thing moving under the blanket to be more durable than a feather. If not that, other similar cat toy equivalents(such as a wand with a string and a ball attached) would be appreciated! He's a small-medium dog height-wise but a bit stocky so overall a medium-sized dog. I'd really like to see if there are any good equivalents out there that may be made to be more durable because it's the first time he's really seemed to love a toy.

So I found a lovely puppy and I applied to adopt him. I've been looking for a dog for a while and am ready to adopt. I've had dogs in the past but I have never done a home visit. I am worried my house isn't good enough. I have the puppy area ready, a playpen and such. What should I expect from this virtual visit?
