I would give a year of my life to allow my senior dog to be a free eagle and fly free for a year
Itd be worth it, hopwfully I would be trading 1 year out of a 100 but who knows!

Paw cleaning – yelping and biting
Hi!, my dog never liked his paws touched and it got so much worse when the vet cut his nails too short. Recently he was ill and the vet asked to wipe his paws with cleaner after every walk. He would bite my hands and scream and try to get away. I want to keep wiping them even after the treatment. How can I teach him that it's not the end of the world?

Cone Alternative for Doggie Door?
Does anyone know a good cone alternative? I have a Mini Aussie that needs to wear a cone for a few weeks but he can't fit through our doggie door with the 13 inch plastic cone. Note: please do NOT recommend a surgery suit. It will not protect and let him use the bathroom.

My 1 year old crying panting
My 1 year old female dog suddenly one night was crying and then kept crying throughout the day, then continued for the past 3 days but at random times and was pooping perfectly, peeing perfectly and also was able to play. Recently, for the past 2 days she has this one toy that she now brings everywhere and cries with it. At night she starts panting, and whining but when I’m in bed she gets very close to me, like very close and I pat her and she sleeps well and stops crying or panting. It’s very unusual because she wasn’t like this before, but now she keeps panting and bringing this one toy everywhere hiding it, she also hides sometimes. Why? We went to the vet and did blood work test and it all turned out well.

How to deal with dog anxiety?
I have a 2 year old toy poodle. She’s a very anxious and clingy dog. I’m a senior in college, living alone so I’m solely responsible for her. She often refuses to go to the bathroom when I need to leave, etc. getting in the way of my education, or hiding under furniture if I frown or cry, etc. I have both severe anxiety and depression, and I can’t work through my emotions because if I feel anything, even if I’m not outwardly showing it, she gets nervous or affected. Despite my mental health struggles, I do everything I’m supposed to for her, feeding/water, plenty of walks, enrichment, regular bathroom breaks, etc. I even find myself pretending not to be depressed and putting on a cheery mood so she won’t get upset. My family had thought that it was a better idea to get me a dog than a therapist so here I am. I love her more than anything and won’t get rid of her, but her anxiety makes mine worse. Is there any way to deal with an anxious dog while also having the space to take care of myself? What causes such bad anxiety in dogs?
