Hello all,
I have a 1.5 year old Blackmouth cur (I thiiiink) that we adopted back in July. Although he's normally chill, he definitely is not chill during our car rides to the dog park. Previously, he would whine/bark/howl as soon as we would turn into the park's entrance (maybe 2-4 minute ride to the actual park). Now, he starts up pretty much at the beginning of the drive. I know that dogs are supposed to bark and howl; however, it's REALLY loud and I kind of have sensitive hearing. Just wondering if I can do anything to reduce the crying.
Note, he is a perfect passenger during drives that do not involve the dog park. Unfortunately, there only two routes that I can take to this park, and he howls/barks loudly for both of them so cannot really change up the routes. There is another dog park nearby, but that park is a bit like HBO's OZ for dogs, so I'm not too keen on going to that park.
