My 10weeks old puppy is sleeping in crate or dog bed (in playpen or next to our couch) at night and for naps.
We trained him that way bc we wanted him to feel confortable in the play pen or crate when we are out (worked great! He is doing amazing alone) and sleeps through the night (also great).
The only downside to that is that when he is awake he just can’t chill out until we enforce a nap, and even when we can tell he is tired, he doesn’t want to « chill » with us on the couch or bed, he is super excited to bite/play with our hands all the time… is he gonna grow out of that or did we mess this up by making him having calm time only when we are out of sight? I wish I could have some calm time with this baby, not only the little demon moments
