Can I take my puppy outside? [please read]

My little girl is 14 weeks old and when we adopted her she hadn’t been vaccinated, so we booked her in to have her first one which she had 3 days ago.

My partner really wants to start taking her outside on walks but I’m really cautious, so I’ve said how I’d rather her stay indoors or in our back garden at most until she’s fully vaccinated.

We spoke to our vet and they said she can fully go outside after her first vaccination, and to take her to dog-friendly areas to get her socialised.

After reading online, it heavily recommends NOT to take a puppy outside until fully vaccinated, but my partner’s mindset is “The vet said we can, so there’ll be no issues.”

And due to the fact there are 4 vaccinations with a space of 4 weeks apart, my partner is upset that he has to wait until she’s 25+ weeks to take her outside.

Am I being overly cautious about her, or should I put my foot down on waiting until she’s fully vaccinated?
