1 year old toy poodle goes nuts in crate

hello,

i have a toy poodle named Shoo. she is very sweet and gets along with my 3 cats however whenever i put her in the crate to sleep, she goes crazy if a cat will go near or walk past it. but as soon as i take her out of it it's like nothing happens. it's the same with her carrier bag. she settles well im the carrier or crate but if a dog or cat comes near it she starts growling, barking, and acting all tough and angry. does anyone know how to train her out of it?
