Dog lost in snow storm

My dog disappeared days before a snow storm and I don’t know how to cope. He is bad about wanting to escape and we’ve reinforced the spots he’s used to slip out of, but I guess he was able to get through it, about a week ago now. As soon as we noticed he didn’t come right back (which is what he usually does) we started searching everywhere. We live more in a rural area so a number of things could have happened. We have looked everywhere, posted everywhere, posted flyers and still no sign at all. Now we have several inches of snow and expecting more tonight.

I’m just at such a lost. I don’t know what happened and it’s eating me alive. I’m hoping he found some barn to hangout in and someone is keeping him warm, but I know that reality is slim. This is just the worst feeling ever. I just lost my soul cat a couple months ago and the thought of never seeing my dog again is killing me.
