We brought our new puppy yesterday, in general is all right. He eats a lot, is very nice and does potty in his pad easily (poop seems to be harder, he needs to do more than what he's doing). Our main issue has been that when he is tired he is all the time asking to go up with us, is incapable of sleeping close to us, he needs to be on us. We're only giving he food in the crate or in our hands, he seems to be fine in the crate but for now he thinks is a place to eat more than to sleep. Yesterday by night we managed to get him sleep over us and put him inside/close to the crate so he continued sleeping there. We started with 20 min (then he wakes to complain) and we reached around 2h tops. His crate is open all the time, however it is in playpen that we closed in the night (For now, he doesn't like the playpen too much he fights with the fences sometimes). Whenever he started to complain in the night we went to see him, at the beginning of the night as I said, he needed to sleep over us (in the floor) and then we moved him inside the crate, at the end of the night he just needed to see us close by to get by himself back in the crate and sleep again, so we'were happy about that.
However, along the day he is back to need to sleep over us and he doesn't care about the crate for napping, when he is leaved close to the crate (and he enters by treats) , he just goes out again and try to get up on us again. Is like that aaaaaall the time.
Any hints please?
