We are experienced dog owners but have never experienced bringing a puppy into our home with another dog.
We adopted a 4 month old dog this week and YES I KNOW it takes time for them to settle in.
But..
Tonight on two separate occasions the puppy went after our 3 year old (very docile) black lab who is 5x his size.
The first time, our lab came to sit next to me on the couch and the puppy stood up, stiffened and snarled/lunged at him.
The second, our lab sniffed in the puppy’s crate when he was standing nearby, and the puppy lost it, lunging, snarling and snapping.
We have a 4 year old son and now I’m terrified. any advice is welcome, thanks.
