Hi everyone! My golden is now four months old and finally getting used to peeing outdoors however when we go out on the garden she point blank refuses to come back inside
Her recall isn’t the best lately (we’re working on it) but it’s now gotten to the point where I have to go and pick her up to bring her in because she wants to stay out so badly
Even if we let her stay outside she will happily stay out for hours with no want to come inside 😭
She’s never had a bad experience in the house other than the other dogs not accepting her and giving corrections so she is having to stay relatively separate from them unless on a leash around them to help guide interactions (other dogs are older/ older rescues so aren’t in the mood for puppy antics a lot of the time)
She goes for a daily walk, has only ever been taught with positive reinforcement
I’m not sure if she’s maybe a bit bored despite having enrichment, training sessions etc daily or what
Maybe outside in the garden is just really interesting
I just don’t want her to associate me being outside with her as being stuck with this killjoy that just wants to take her back inside
For context we stay out for like 20-40 minutes at a time, play games and do short training sessions on the garden when she’s happily engaging and offering tricks
I’m not sure how to make coming back inside better for her and something she’s more willing to do
