I have a precious 5 month old “lab mix” from a local shelter. I’ve had her since she was about 7 weeks old. She is extremely smart and seems very happy. The biggest issue I have with her is that she is a totally amazing and calm puppy with my youngest son and me, but is a totally different puppy with my oldest son and my fiancé. When those two are around, she goes full land shark mode. NOTHING I do will rein her in. She bites (nips), jumps, and will not leave them alone no matter what. I usually put her in time out in the crate when she gets out of hand, but it doesn’t seem to be doing much. I’ve also tried putting her on a leash but I was genuinely concerned that she was going to injure herself with it last time, so I ended up putting her in the crate. When she comes out of the crate, she goes right back to harassing them. It’s like she’s so excited she just can’t contain herself. I get she’s excited because she doesn’t see them as much as she sees my youngest son and me, but it’s really excessive. What should I do?
