My dog bit a pigeon that lay immobile. It tried flying but my dog bit his feet I think. I quickly pulled him away. The bird then sat and did not move. It tried walking away and was not able to. And my dog again went at it and I think caught his feathers.
The went to a corner and lay there facing the wall for a while. I gave it some millet and water but it did not take any. In a few minutes, it was dead..
I feel very guilty and also worried if my dog would have contracted anything from the bird. Our vet is on leave and told us nothing to worry.
