Can dogs really see things we can t? Have you ever experienced something like this?

One afternoon I was spending a quiet day at home with my dog Apollo The sunlight streamed through the windows and I sat on the couch reading while Apollo laypeacefully at my feet Every now and then he d look up at me with eyes full of trust and dependence I always felt like as long as Apollo was by my side I didn thave to worry about anything Suddenly Apollo sat up straight his eyes fixed on a corner of the room His earsperked up and his tail froze in midair I got up and looked in the direction of hisgaze-but there was nothing there Apollo kept staring at the empty spacelooking unusually alert A wave of unease washed over me and I couldn t shakethe feeling that something was off I felt a bit uneasy and walked over to the window to check outside but everythingseemed normal Maybe Apollo had just noticed something small we overlookedor perhaps he had heard something we couldn t A few minutes later Apollo stopped staring and turned to look at me gentlynudging my hand as if to comfort me I stroked his head feeling warmth spreadthrough me Even though he couldn t speak I knew he had an unconditional loveand dependence on me just asl did for him Nothing unusual had really happened but the feeling of unease still lingered 1didn t know-could dogs see something we can t? Forget it. I ll just say it: can theysee ghosts or something like that?
