2 males or a male and female?

I have a 3 year old neutered male Belgian Malinois x Husky, he absolutely loves all dogs and is super submissive with both males and females. I’m starting to think about getting another dog (aka as soon as I see the perfect fit it’s mine). Either another mal, a dutch shepherd, or a german shepherd. Do you tend to prefer two males or a male and female? It might just come down to what’s available since I’m wanting another shelter dog that’s 6-9 months old. I’m willing to go to surrounding states, but if a male and female are both available and get along great with him, which would you pick? (I’m fine with a dog that’s not clingy towards me because he’s insanely cuddly but he also doesn’t get jealous if I show affection towards another dog so if the dog is clingy that’s fine too.)
