Hi everyone! Should 6 month old training be the same as it would be for a few weeks old puppy?
We were reccomended to watch @McCannDogs Youtube channel videos by someone we met with a super well behaved doggy.
But all the videos are for a very little puppies or next stages for when they're older. Should we follow same tactics or is there anything we should do differently considering the older pup age?
A little backstory: In a few days we're getting/somewhat rescuing a sweet 6 month old, possibly a golden doodle puppy or a close mix.
From what we gathered and seen he's living outdoors with his mom and same litter brother, not very looked after (poor thing doesn't even have a name..), has some skin issues (bolding snout), not potty trained and we were told that he runs and hides when reprimanded, so not sure what he might have experienced to do so.. Also no vaccines, parasite treatment, hasn't seen a vet, but that we'll address right away.
He's very sweet, gentle and affectionate boy and we're looking to give him best loving home that we can!
