Getting a Staffy puppy soon but I live on a 2nd floor flat advice on potty training?

Hey everyone, I’m planning ahead for a Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy in 2027 and I’m trying to prepare properly. I live in a 2nd-floor flat (no lift), and I’m wondering how people in similar setups handled potty training with stairs involved.

A few questions:

• How did you manage those early weeks when the pup needs to go every 30–60 mins? • Did you carry them up/down the stairs until they were old enough? • Any tips for avoiding accidents while still getting them outside quickly enough? • Is it realistic to build a solid toilet routine from a flat like this?

I’ll be home all day, so I can stay on top of the routine, but I want to hear from people who’ve actually done it in a flat. Any advice or things you wish you knew early on would be really appreciated.

Thanks!
