I am baby-sitting for 2 elderly dogs long term. They’ve been with me for a couple of months now. They are both about 13 years old, under 20 pounds, mixed breed (I’m not sure if that matters, but just in case.)
They are mostly house broken and use puppy pads fairly well, but one of them has a habit of shredding the puppy pad after urinating on it, sending dog urine confetti all over the living area.
I work 12 hour shifts, so with my commute, it’s a 14-hour day. I cant have a dog door because of my cats, hence the puppy pads. It ends up being a lot of urine confetti at the end of the day.
Is there any trick to stop the shredding of the puppy pads? I’ve grown very weary of cleaning that up all the time.
Thank you.
