Hey everyone!
I live together with my roommate and their cat. I have a mini dachshund who’s almost 4 months now. The dog and cat get along well and often play together, but I’m worried my puppy is being too rough.
We figured the cat would show him if he had to back off, but he doesn’t seem to be doing that (a lot). The puppy bites the cat’s throat and belly a lot, as well as his face, and it looks pretty hard.
I’m not sure how to handle it? I assume he’ll calm down as he gets older, but I was wondering if there’s anything I can do now? On top of that, the puppy is about to begin teething so he’s biting harder and I don’t want him to hurt the cat. Should we just keep them separate? Do we let them play but put the puppy in his pen when he gets too rough? Any tips welcome 😅😁
