Clinginess out of control

I have a three year old toy poodle who has been around other dogs her whole life. Last week my roommate had an unexpected emergency and had to move out taking his dogs with him. Ever since my dog has become glued to me and when I leave for work my other roommate reports that she is an anxious mess and does nothing but cry and shake. Only other times she’s had this issue was when she would be the only dog in the house. Getting another dog isn’t an option because of the cost associated with it and we’re in student housing so she’s my “therapy” animal and I don’t have the means to have her around other dogs until I move out in May. Any tips on how to regulate her anxiety? I do my best to make coming/going lowkey and walk her twice a day. She’s got toys and chews galore and plenty of space to roam. The only time she isn’t anxious since the other dog leaving is when I am home with her. I don’t want to have to put her on an anxiety medication unless I’ve exercised every other option.
