My little boy is about 7 months now and he’s still peeing indoors. He’s a chihuahua mix and I’m fully aware smaller dogs take longer but he just doesn’t seem to be getting it. He pees almost without even knowing it. He did have a uti but the vet said it’s gone now. Is it likely it’s come back? Will getting him neutered help this? He doesn’t cock his leg so it doesn’t seem to be scent marking. Although he did pee on a fresh bed today. He seems to pee so regularly I’m genuinely stumped. The whole thing is really worrying me because my parents are sick of it and threaten to get rid of him if he can’t learn. I’m 22 and unable to leave home and take him with me so that’s out of the question. Does anyone have any advice please? Do we just need to give him more time? Idk what to do differently or to help him along in his training. He’s capable of learning because he knows how to sit now so I just know he can do it but my parents are at the end of their tether 😞 TIA 🙏
