I took my golden retriever (who's a little over 3 months) to the vet today and came across another golden puppy there (who mustve been not more than 2 months). He/she was in their owner's arms ( a somewhat elderly couple, not too old tho) and wagging its tail when it saw me w my puppy.
Meanwhile my puppy had been struggling during the whole drive to the hospital, back home, and even when I had him in my arms at the hospital. He absolutely hates being touched/carried even though I've tried to get him used to it by rewarding everytime I touch him/carry him.
He's just constantly trying to bite me, or get away from me. It's been easy teaching him commands and he's learnt really quickly as well, so I know he's incredibly smart. I feel like I've failed him somehow because I can't seem to get him to listen to me. I feel like he sees me as his sibling lol :')
I wanna send him for formal training but that would mean losing out on crucial puppy years and bonding with him. Seeing that puppy really brought back my puppy blues because I know my puppy's smart, but for some reason we don't seem to be getting along very well :')
