I adopted this stray dog about three days ago he went to the vet today and they are guessing hes about 6-8 years old and hes underweight by quite a bit. Hes 67 pound and he shoukd be 80-90. He's been sleeping on my bed the past three nights (I know i shouldn't have probably done that but i just wanted him to feel comfortable) I dont have a problem with him sleeping up here but my mattress is very old and not great quality and after doing some research im worried its hard on his bones and joints because he has no fat to protect them. I keep seeing recommendations for an orthopedic memory foam bed, but what size dimensions should I be looking at? Im especially worried about the height of the bed and ensuring it won't flatten under his weight. Any advice is very appreciated !!
Also very off topic but he loves to mark things, im planning on getting him neutered asap but im worried its more of a "natural thing" for him to do rather than a hormone imbalance since he's been a stray his whole life. If you have any tips of training that would be awesome too! Thanks yall!
