I really need some advice here. I’ve had my puppy ( small terrier mix) for about 6 months now and he is still barking for a very long time when I leave for work. I live in an apartment so this is an issue. I got a note today saying if it doesn’t change someone is going to take action. It wasn’t signed but I talked to my neighbors on either side, and below me and they all said they don’t really hear him that much. Before I leave for work we go on a 45 minute walk, I play calming music, he has a snuffle mat, frozen lick mat, I scatter treats, I give him a small amount of calming chew, he gets a greenie, puzzle mat and I rotate his toys. He stays in my room and doesn’t have free roam of the apartment. I’ve tried leaving all the lights off and closing the blinds in the hope he sleeps but now that it’s colder that means he barely gets to see the sun. We go on 4-5 walks a day. The dog park 2-3 times a week. I have no idea what else to do.
