Man, sleep deprivation really messes with your head. I was thinking I was failing my puppy and had to rehome her. Well, I am happy to report our little lady slept from 9:45pm to 4am!! I tried the advice of playing fetch into the kennel during the day. I was already feeding her in it but I think that playing did the trick. I did the usual night routine: dinner, potty, play time, wind down time, last potty and into the crate with her heartbeat pal, kong ball and favorite blanket. What I did different: I left her crate in the living room where I keep it during the day instead of moving it next to the bed. I also warmed her bedding in the dryer. She happily pranced in, I gave her a treat and she laid down. She did whine for about 10 minutes..I painfully ignored them like suggested but then she was out!! I got to sleep too!! I was afraid that if I didn't have her in arms reach to sooth her, she wouldn't feel safe. When I let her out, there were no accidents and she ran to the front door to be let out. I can't believe the difference a couple changes made. Thank you so much to all the kind comments, reassuring words and advice. I really was tying myself in knots. I don't have people in my life with puppy experience, you've been lifesavers š©·š¾
