My 4 month old rescue (dachshund weenie mix) never chews on anything other than her toys when we’re home and allow her to roam with the gate up. We tried allowing her to roam while we were at work yesterday because want to give her some freedom and get her used to being alone without confining her for too long. The first half of the day went great! No accidents, no torn up pee pads, etc. however, I got home from work the second half of the day and she chewed up a leg from a kitchen chair. We tried giving her one more go spraying everything with bitter spray, leaving her with puzzles, toys, etc. I came home for lunch this time and she chewed the baseboard of our wall but right at the center not a corner, which I found so odd. I know she’s teething bc I’ve seen her loosing baby teeth but I don’t know what else to do ! I feel guilty keeping her in her play pen all day but she obviously gets anxious/bored when we’re at work. Any tips on how to keep her entertained? Also haven’t taken her outside for walks because she JUST got her last vaccinations and she’s getting used to her leash atm.
