Our Luna (English Springer Spaniel) is 10 weeks tomorrow, we’ve had her since 8 weeks, and for the last 2 nights she hasn’t woken us once for toilet trips (10pm – 6am). She hasn’t had an accident since she was 8.5 weeks either, day or night.
She sleeps in a closed crate in the lounge, room doors open. We had set alarms for the first few nights to check on her, but we soon learned she would cry if she needed to go (and we take her out for a short boring loo trip as soon as we hear her).
Bedtime routine is quite strong now so she’s usually going to bed empty, and we will wake her for a ~9:55pm trip if she’s already sleeping.
Not seeking advice really, just surprised that she can hold it comfortably all night at this age and wanted to share a positive story.
Perhaps it’s thanks to our approach and structure… and all the advice we read on r/puppy101 before getting her of course!
I like to think she trusts she can go out when she needs to, so doesn’t stress and sleeps more soundly as a result.
