I have a little Yorkipoo, she’s not a fan of nail trimming but otherwise a fairly easy groom. She’s kept brushed at home and we get her groomed every four weeks. I don’t know if I expect too much, or if I‘m right to be concerned.
We recently left our former groomer of 3 years and started up with another highly recommended groomer In town. I showed her pictures, and talked through how we like her cut. She has groomed my dog 4-5 times now—she looks like a radically different dog every time I pick her up. The only thing consistent about the hair cuts is that she leaves the chin long like a billy goat and never goes back to catch that little spot mid-throat where the grooming tether sits—she just skips this spot. I could have worked through this, but the last time I picked up my dog, the groomer/owner left the dog she was grooming unattended on the grooming table to check me out and have chatty conversation with another customer waiting to check in. She never even glanced back at the dog still tethered to the grooming table…this went on for maybe 5-6 minutes. Would that be a deal breaker for you?
