When did your senior dog warm up to your new puppy?

My dog will be 8 this coming year. She is very energetic and playful, goes to daycare at least once a month and always has puppy play dates. We just got another 8 week old golden retriever and the puppy loves my older dog, but my older dog wants nothing to do with her. Tonight she started growling and showing teeth when the puppy walked close to her while she was laying down. I reprimanded the older dog and separated them. After that when the puppy would get a little close to the older dog you could just tell she was uncomfortable and I would keep separating them because I didn’t want to risk anything happening. Will she ever warm up to her? I’m hoping it’s just because she’s so little right now but it really worries me.
