Paloma is 5 and a half months old now, 22 weeks. She’s double the size that I got her, and her crate was looking small, so I chose to expand it. The thing is, now, though… she’s peeing in it. But, she’s not just peeing in the cage, she’s having accidents outside, too, and struggling to go outside. I wonder if it’s the expansion I messed up with? I thought since she’s double the size from when she came home, she’s gonna need double the room, but I’m worried that’s part of what caused this.
I still do take her out on a schedule of 4 hour intervals, and I praise her every time she goes outside and ignore when she goes inside. I’ve also hit the areas she had accidents with an enzyme cleaner. Anything else I can do?
