People with multiple floors in your house – how many playpens/crates do you have? Also, what schedule did your puppy have at 8-12 weeks

We have three floors in our house – upstairs (where we sleep) – downstairs (where we spend the days) and the basement where I work out, do laundry, have my crafting space.

I’m trying to figure out how many secure spaces I need for a puppy.

The plan is to have a big playpen in the living room, connected to an open crate/bed.

I also think I need a playpen in the basement so puppy can be with me downstairs when I workout, do laundry, craft etc.

But the only way I’m gonna hear the puppy at night is if we also have some sort of pen upstairs in the bedroom as well.

If you have multiple floors what does your layout of pens/beds look like?

Also, what is a realistic schedule for a puppy week 8-12? (Sleep, potty, play, train)
