hey all! i’m getting my girl spayed tomorrow and was wanting to get insight from you all on how to best care for her afterwards as i have never spayed a dog on my own (my family has always had previously spayed rescues). my girl is 7 months but has been excellent with free roaming alone at home- i was bringing her to work but recently discovered that she doesn’t like it at my work and is stressed when she’s there. my issue with leaving her home is there is nobody home during the day to take her out, but i know that during the recovery process she will need to be in her crate and not running around with my roommate’s dog. i’m wondering if i just bite the guilt and the anxiety and crate her while we’re all at work and hope that someone will be home to take her out every few hours, but that’s not promised; my other option is to bring her to work, even though it’s not her favourite place, but at least i can keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn’t run around and break her stitches. this is a long post just to say that i’m unsure what would be best for her. she’s gonna be uncomfortable and hate me for the 2 weeks of recovery but i just wanna see what option would be better for her and her comfort 🙂 ty in advance!!
